Finance, Software, Poetry and Me...
It's been a real long time since I posted. For that matter, I don't even visit blogs as often as I used to. Work's been very hectic- that's the sole reason I've stopped blogging, quizzing, solving crosswords, reading (it's gone down like crazy)...I couldn't watch John Lennon special on Star World (arrrgh!). I haven't watched any cricket match (in the last 4 months) for more than 20 minutes.
John Lennon said, "Life's what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." Well, that's exactly what's happening with me right now.
One interesting thing is that although work's hectic, there is loads to learn. I am now maintaining Financial Software. There was a time when I did not understand head and tail of Finance (not that I do now, but it's slightly better) and thought I wouldn't have anything much to do with any software other than word and excel. Well, from that to being an Analyst in Financial Technology is quite a drastic change and things have been interesting and exciting so far.
My birthday just went by and it was wonderful. I decided that I would restart blogging that day and have finally got myself to do it.
By the way, I have started reading haiku poetry and yesterday I came across a beautiful one for the new year:
gasp goes up
from the waiting crowd
first sunrise
